Dr. Patrick Carter, D.M.D.
Dr. Thomas Miller, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Miller was born and raised in the town of Thomasville in southern Georgia. He graduated from Thomas University there in his hometown with a degree in Biology in May 2003. He went on to attend dental school at Augusta University where he graduated in May 2007. After dental school, he served in the Army as a dental officer until June 2010. Dr. Miller spent a few years after the military in associateships before starting his own practice in Anderson in 2013. He sold his practice in 2024 and is now working with us at Hopewell Family Dentistry.
Dr. Miller currently lives in Hartwell, GA. He is married to his wife Jessica, and they have twin boys, Henry and Samuel (2022). When not working Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and fishing on Lake Hartwell.
Nichole Holden
Patient Care Coordinator
Nichole is an Anderson native and attended Concorde Career Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, to earn her dental assisting certification. She joined us in 2014 and truly enjoys our patients and our team.
When Nichole is away from the dental office, you will find her enjoying quality time with her family and friends.
Delana Ballenger, RDH
Hygienist
Delana is originally from Liberty, but now lives in Anderson with her husband and daughter. She graduated from Greenville Technical College for dental hygiene in 2012, and she is also certified in anesthesia in order to give our patients greater comfort.
Delana joined our office in 2014 and loves getting to know our patients and helping them feel at ease in our dental office. When she is away from the office, you will find her enjoying time with her husband, daughter, and friends, spending time outside, and cheering for the Clemson Tigers!
Sabrina Lee
Dental Assistant
Sabrina grew up in Liberty and now lives in Easley. She graduated from Palmetto School with her degree in expanded duties dental assisting. When not at work, Sabrina enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and going camping. Sabrina joined our practice in 2018.
Dee Mahurin
Insurance and Billing Coordinator
Dee graduated from Tri-County Technical School in 1992 as an expanded duty dental assistant and a minor in business management. Dee has 20 years of dental assisting experience. In her free time, Dee enjoys crafting and spending time with her grandson. Dee joined our practice in 2020.

Emily has been a registered dental hygienist since 2010 and is thankful to be in a field she truly loves! She and her husband have 4 children. They enjoy making memories together as a family, going to church where her husband pastors, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers
Carter Poole

Carter has lived in Pendleton, SC her whole life and is excited to start a new career in the dental profession as an assistant. When she’s not working she enjoys spending her time with her family, friends and dog.
Shanon Cole
Patient Care Coordinator
Shanon grew up in Iva and now lives in Anderson. Shanon was with the practice in the very first days when we opened in 2013 and 2014. She has returned to Hopewell Family Dentistry excited to join the new team and care for patients.
When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids.
Gracie Brown
Dental Assistant
Gracie grew up in Belton South Carolina and graduated from Belton Honeapath High-school in 2022. She currently lives in Williamston South Carolina with her two dogs and husband. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going to the lake or beach, and hunting. Gracie is super excited to start her new career in dental assisting!

Taylor is a dedicated Dental Assistant with five years of experience in the field. Holding an Associate's degree in General Technology with a focus on Expanded Duty Dental Assisting, Taylor is skilled in providing comprehensive care and ensuring patient comfort in a fast-paced dental environment. As a proud mom of two, Taylor enjoys spending time with her children, especially watching them participate in sports. Outside of work, she finds joy in relaxing at the beach, fishing, and reading. With a passion for both her career and family, Taylor is committed to balancing her professional life while creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

Nikki is a native of Anderson, South Carolina. She graduated from TL Hanna High School in 2003 and obtained her Dental Hygiene license from Greenville Technical College in 2008. She absolutely loves her job and is passionate about helping her patients reach their goals to a healthy smile. In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband and cheering on their children at all their sporting events.
